Research summary: I asked God Almighty to write a search for: (The critical approach of Imam Al-Ghazali through the causal theory). Which prompted me to choose this research for several reasons, the most important of which are: the strong prejudice of philosophers and many researchers towards Imam Al-Ghazali in his position on causation. I wanted to reach the truth about Imam Al-Ghazali's doctrine of causation by reading his writings. Knowing the impact of Greek philosophy, especially the philosophy of Aristotle. In the theory of causation on Islamic philosophers Kalfarabi, Ibn Sina and Ibn Rushd. So I collected the scientific material for research that dealt with this theory. In order to achieve the objectives of the research and discuss its points. We can use the two approaches: The analytical approach to know the thoughts of Muslim and Mu'tazila philosophers and their point of view. And the critical approach to the thought of Imam Al-Ghazali towards the ideas of Muslim and Mu'tazila philosophers. I have divided the research into: an introduction, a preface, and three chapters. Conclusion: As for the introduction: I explained the reasons for choosing the research. As for the introduction: the personality of Imam Al-Ghazali. The first chapter is titled The Theory of Causation. The second chapter was entitled Imam Al-Ghazali's attitude towards the philosophers towards causation. The third chapter was about: Imam Al-Ghazali's attitude towards the Mu'tazila towards causation. Then I concluded the research with a conclusion that included the research results that I reached through the research.
