This research comes to shed light on the issue of activating the purposes of Sharia in understanding the Prophetic Sunnah and rejecting the apparent literal understanding of texts. Its causes and objectives, both of which are delinquent, are the middle and justice, which requires observing the phenomena of the texts and their purposes together; Therefore, it was necessary to make an effort in drawing the boundaries between what is acceptable and what is rejected by claiming that the purposes of Shariah are observed, and I chose in the research a scientific figure who won acceptance in the scientific community and has a masterful literature on this topic, which is the scholar Muhammad Al- Taher bin Ashour (1393 AH- 1970AD). To explain his approach in activating the legal purposes in understanding the Prophetic Sunnah through his book “The Extensive Consideration at the Narrows of Attention in the Sahih Mosque”. During the author’s book, may God Almighty have mercy on him, and the research was appended with a conclusion and scientific indexes, and it appears that the activation of the purposes for him is due to the rotation of the rule of Sharia and its reasons on the goodness of the individual and society, and the greatest goal is to bring goodness and ward off corruption, and that the general intent of legislation is to preserve the world order and sustain its goodness with the goodness of man. The purposes of the Sharia are the qiblah of the mujtahid, so how it turns while he is observing the intent of the Shariah, it is the future of the qiblah like the one surrounded by the walls of the Kaaba.
