The current study aimed at trying to reveal the degree of availability of mathematical communication skills in the content of the mathematics book for the first grade average in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher used the descriptive approach and the method of content analysis. Before the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the academic year 1444 AH / 2023 AD, the researcher identified the patterns of mathematical communication that could be included in the mathematics textbook. These patterns were divided into four patterns: mathematical reading, mathematical writing, mathematical representation, mathematical listening, and speaking. Mathematics, and after adjusting the search tool, several results were reached, the most important of which is that the mathematical reading pattern took the highest repetition rate among the other patterns, as the total number of repetitions of mathematical reading skills reached (270) times in the first grade intermediate book, followed by mathematical writing skills, as it reached The total of its repetitions is (213) times, and this indicates that the interest of the books in their three semesters in the mathematical writing style was moderate. Recommendations and proposals, the most important of which is the need to educate mathematics teachers about mathematical communication skills in different patterns, and to emphasize their importance in achieving high-level learning outcomes at the level of mathematical achievement, and developing different mathematical thinking patterns
