This study deals with the researcher defining Sufism linguistically and terminologically, as he explains the opinions of scholars on Sufism and the differences among the master scholars in linguistic derivation and choosing what he deems closest to the truth. It also deals with the terminological definition of Sufism, where the Sufis’ differences in the definition of Sufism are no less than their differences in its origin and derivation, but rather they have increased in conflict and contradiction. There is a lot in it, then the researcher discusses the definition of the method in terms of language and terminology, as well as the difference between the method and the drinker. The researcher also discusses the emergence of Sufi orders in Egypt, mentioning the first to introduce Sufism in Egypt and the most important Sufi orders in Egypt, and shows the approach followed between the Sufi orders and whether or not there is compatibility between the orders. There is a difference. Is this difference in the origins or in the branches.
Through this study, the researcher dealt with the definition of Sufism linguistically and terminologically. The researcher dealt with the opinions of scholars about Sufism and refuted them, indicating the difference among the scholars in the linguistic derivation of Sufism and choosing what he saw as closest to the truth.
