Social media sites have different advantages, but their continuous development has created a set of challenges and negatives, the most prominent of which is the spread of false and misleading news, along with defamation of individuals and violations of privacy, leading to the emergence of what is known as cybercrime, which negatively affects the future of societies, the cohesion of their individuals and the stability of their lives. Therefore, this study aims to identify the nature of social media sites, the reality of the media content provided through their various platforms, and their provisions according to the principles of Islamic law, in a way that ensures the preservation of social and moral values, while monitoring the levels of keeping pace with Islamic law in this digital age, and what Islamic jurisprudence provides in terms of directives to deal with emerging issues from social media platforms. The study gains its importance from the modernity of social media sites, and their transformation into an indispensable part of the lives of current societies and young generations, in addition to what they produce of some negative aspects as a result of violating the privacy of individuals and the inaccuracy of the information contained therein, which means the necessity of determining the necessary Sharia provisions to regulate their contents
