The nationalist trend in poetry is considered one of the most important directions that call for unity among peoples and nations that share a common faith, language, or ethnicity. Poets have always been at the forefront of advocating for the support of their fellow brothers across various countries and communities. They call for defending the oppressed, express sorrow in times of calamity, and rejoice in shared prosperity. Therefore, the nationalist perspective in poetry requires careful examination and reflection on the works of poets, among whom is the Moroccan poet Mohammed Halloui. He played a prominent role in expressing solidarity with his Arab and Muslim brothers across the globe, conveying his feelings through his linguistic sensibility and poetic talent. At times, he grieves over the tragedy of Al-Aqsa and mourns the martyrs at the gates of Jerusalem, stirring the hearts of Arabs and Muslims. At other times, he sheds tears for his brothers in Egypt who suffered the devastation of an earthquake, and he also denounces the civil war in Lebanon that tore apart familial and national ties. Thus, it is necessary to delve into his poetry to explore its thematic content and his artistic ability in addressing the nationalist dimension in his work.
