This research examines two critical legal and ethical issues: the crime of abuse of influence and the crime of false reporting, from both Islamic jurisprudence and modern Saudi legal perspectives. A notable strength of this study is its inclusion of recent Saudi regulations, which many earlier studies lacked due to being published before these laws were enacted. The research begins with an introduction on the importance of safeguarding public interests and the dangers of misusing authority or submitting false accusations. It emphasizes that Islamic law aims to promote justice by preventing corruption and protecting individuals from harm. The researcher follows a clear methodology: defining key terms linguistically and legally, presenting legal scenarios, documenting scholarly consensus or differences, and providing supporting evidence. Each issue is analyzed carefully, with the strongest opinion identified and reasons for scholarly disagreement discussed. A significant contribution of the study is the documentation of contemporary Saudi legal systems, citing official sources such as royal decrees and council decisions, placed within parentheses. In hadith referencing, only well-authenticated sources are used. The research concludes with key findings and recommendations, supported by a thorough list of references. It is structured into two main chapters—the first on abuse of influence, and the second on false reporting—followed by a conclusion that summarizes the most important outcomes.
